Brianna Ballard, winner of the CET Medal Final Quebec-Maritimes Region

Brianna Ballard_CET 2015Divided in three phases, dressage, gymnastic and course and these, are followed by a horse exchange for the four riders with the highest cumulative score as the end of the three phases, the Canadian Equestrian Team (CET) Medal Final is considered a real challenge for amateur riders under 21 years of age.

Thursday, September 3rd, the first phase of the Quebec-Maritime CET Medal Final took place during the 37th edition of the Concours hippique de Lévis at the Écuries de la Chaudière in Breakeyville. Brianna (St-Lazare) with her mount Carpe Diem, top ranked in the selection for this event, confirmed her dominance, by winning the dressage phase while her sister, Kennedy, finished in 3rd place.

Friday, September 4th, Brianna successfully completes the gymnastic phase in 4th place.

 

Saturday, September 5th, as with the gymnastic phase, the jumper course took place under the lights. Brianna finishes in 2nd place while Kennedy obtains 7th place. For Brianna, her total score left her in second place and allowed her to participate the horse exchange phase. It is therefore at the end of this phase that the judges put her in 1st place.
